In this show we switch to our new gear for recording. Dave's mic is a little overzelious and picks up almost everyting. Mike offends an entire state, way more than Dave ever did. Dave talks about his Base64 image processor. We also discuss more about the CFHour iPhone website. We then take this deep dive into the post by Steve Jobs and his feelings on Flash.

May 1, 2010 at 2:12 PM @Todd Yea.. we looked it up after the show cause we were curious. We planned to mention it on the next show.

May 3, 2010 at 6:44 PM FYI Dave, you're also mispronouncing Rafael Nadal's name. There's no long "a" in Spanish. So it's more like "nuh-DALL", not ("ney-DALL").
May 5, 2010 at 2:08 AM About Mr. Jobs saying that he just can't allow tainted software on his magical platform:
- What if Microsoft said "Oh that iTunes looks tainted to us, rewrite it in .net", there would have been no iPod revolution unless they rewrote it.
- There's a bunch of Flash apps in the iPhone store and the world didn't implode.
- Apple has still not rewritten iTunes or FinalCut in Cocoa.
Basically, this comes down to Flash is the pre-eminent platform on the net for video, casual games and rich ads, all areas that Jobs wants to control, hence he wants to kill Flash. The tech issues are pure smoke.
