CFHour() has gone mobile

Mobile Add comments

We now have a mobile app for the iPhone and iPod touch.  Well it is not exactly an app.  It is a webpage that looks, acts, and runs like an app.  The mobile version currently only loads the latest 5 shows and allows you to listen to them.  We will add other features once we get the kinks out.

Point your browser at www.cfhour.com/mobile on your iPod or iPhone.  Once it loads, click the "+" sign to add it to your home screen.

Let us know what you think.

This was built using www.jqtouch.com.  A JQuery plugin for mobile web development on the iPhone, iPod Touch.

    Well done, and good use of jQTouch (btw, the link is broken). Be nice if the listen to show didn't have to open a separate browser window before going to the media player. Not sure if that's possible?

    I've been using an app called RSS Player to track and listen to the show. You have to pay for it, but it does include some nice features like automatically resuming and a nice download queue that automatically checks for new shows and downloads them without having to sync on ITunes. Check it out at: http://rssplayer.blogspot.com/

    Thanks for the great podcast and keep it up!

    @Roy Thanks for pointing out the link is broken.

    I tried, without success, to get media player to open without a separate browser. I think it has something to do with how our provider handles the streaming. Since this is beta I will keep working on it and see what I can do.
