In this show Dave and Scott are joined by Mark Mandel to discuss the latest release of ColdSpring 2 Alpha 1, touching on AOP, dependency injection and "drinking the Kool-Aid".
They also cover Google's announcement about it's new programming language "Dart" and try to decide on it's effectiveness, usefulness and eligibility within current web development. As a precursor to a forthcoming show, they also take a preliminary look at Ryan Anklam's ColdFusion Koans project, and remind listeners to vote for and submit session topics for cf.Objective() 2012.
Listener questions (however obscure) are also answered in the "Ask CFHour" segment of the show.

In today's show we start off by discussing Dave's dive into mobile with Dreamweaver CS5.5 and Flex. We then discuss Scott's theory of finite memory. We then talk about when you would either use built in parts of ColdFusion or go and purchase a 3rd party tool. Then we go into frame works. We talk about how frameworks do and don't make you better. After all that we answer a listener question and talk about NCDevcon and the book reviews we will be doing.

In today's show we talk about the Google I/O keynotes. We chime in
and give our thoughts on things that came out of it. We talk about our
continuing work with FuseGuard. Dave talks about how he saved our
mobile app and how he now hates iTunes.
We also sit down with Dan
Vega and discuss Hyrule. Hyrule is a validation framework for ColdFusion. It was a great discussion and in talking with Dan we
found out some very interesting information. Dan is also presenting at
CFunited later this year on validation. So, if you are going check it
out.
We also mention that we are looking for potential sponsors.
So, if interested, contact us.
We are aware of a slight echo in the show. This is all because of
Dave's mic. We will correct this for the next show.
